Employability Through Volunteering

You could become more employable through a volunteer placement.

If you would like the opportunity to enhance and increase your capabilities and potential for maintaining employment read on.

On successful completion of a volunteer training placement with RACC, you’ll have gained a qualification and have relevant work experience and references.  You’ll be in a position to show a prospective employer you can be an effective member of a business team and at the same time realise your potential through sustainable employment.

What are the benefits?

•    Gain work skills
•    Achieve a Level 2 nationally recognised vocational qualification in either:
-    Business Administration

-    ITQ (Office Based IT) course alongside a placement
-    Web Design
-    Support with CV writing and interview techniques professional careers, advice and guidance.

Upon completion you will:

•    have increased your capability and potential for joining and maintaining employment.
•    have achieved a nationally recognised qualification
•    have an up-to-date CV and preparation for interviews
•    have work experience and a reference
•    be able to demonstrate to a potential employer your work skills which will benefit their organisation.

What else do I need to know?

•    Placements are available at RACC at the Clifden (Twickenham) site and Parskshot (Richmond) site.
•    Length of course is 3 months
•    Volunteer places are limited to 15 and will receive no salary
•    All training is Government funded - subject to eligibility
