Learning Centres

The Learning Resource Centres provide flexible learning and self-study opportunities within the College.

Practice skills learned in the classroom, or learn new ones using our many self-study courses, with the support of our well-qualified and professional Learning Resource Centre team. The Learning Resource Centres also offer a library service with the facility to borrow books, CDs, DVDs, videos and audio cassettes.

You can start a flexible learning course at any time in the Learning Resource Centres. We offer a free trial on many courses if you are not sure which course to start.

Courses include:

• Computer Literacy Taster

• ECDL - European Computer Driving Licence

• eType - Touch Typing

• National Tests - Literacy and Numeracy

Microsoft Office Applications in:

Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Publisher

New resources:

• E-books in a variety of subjects for student and staff use online

• Employments skills materials to help you with CV writing, job

searching and preparing for an interview

• Reading and Writing (RAW) e-learning from the BBC

• National Vocational Qualifications materials
