IT/ILT 1st Line Support Technician

RACC has an exciting year ahead with the opening of our landmark building at our Parkshot (Richmond) site that will support the College as a hub of excellence for adult learning. We design and deliver courses in the most appropriate way to meet the needs, interests and abilities of both adults and young people who wish to learn in an adult environment.

We are looking for a 1st Line IT/ILT Support Technician to provide support to system users, respond to calls though the IT help desk and diagnose, problem solve and escalate complex issues. Duties will also include supporting and upgrading hardware through the college, supporting staff and students in the best application of IT and ILT resources and carry out research into procurement of technology along with some project work.

The successful candidate should be qualified to a level 3 in a related IT discipline, have A-C GCSE grades in Maths and English (or equivalent) and previous experience in a customer facing IT role. Knowledge of support desk procedures and Microsoft and apple products is a must along with a methodical approach to problem solving and effective verbal and written communication skills.

This role will include evening and weekend working based on a rota pattern.

GCSE English Tutor (Part-time)

RACC has an exciting year ahead with the opening of our landmark project at our Parkshot (Richmond) site that will support the College as a hub of excellence for adult learning. We design and deliver courses in the most appropriate way to meet the needs, interests and abilities of both adults and young people, who wish to learn in an adult environment.

We are looking for an experienced English Tutor to teach GCSE English, daytime and evenings to a range of learners.

You should have a full teaching qualification (or be working towards one), plus experience of teaching GCSE syllabuses to both adults and 14-19 learners.

Director of Quality

RACC has an exciting year ahead with the opening of our landmark building at our Parkshot (Richmond) site that will support the College as a hub of excellence for adult learning. We design and deliver courses in the most appropriate way to meet the needs, interests and abilities of both adults and young people who wish to learn in an adult environment.

As Director of Quality you will be responsible for promoting a quality improvement agenda which sets high expectations and develops outstanding performance across the college. Duties will include setting up systems to identify underperformance from specific learner groups, leading on the production of the annual SAR and QIP, driving the learner engagement process, analysing curriculum performance using key performance indicators and taking the lead on quality awards.

The successful candidate should have a teaching qualification, relevant degree, experience of successfully leading quality improvement in an education setting, collecting and analysing data to inform improvements and leading on Ofsted inspections. You will need excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be able to prioritise and manage a busy workload, advanced report writing and IT skills along with the ability to analyse complex data.

Head of School – Foundation Studies

Hours: 37 hpw

Contract Type: Permanent

 

As Head of School you will report directly to the Assistant Principal for Teaching and Learning and will be responsible for leading and managing the success of the area, providing inspirational leadership to the programme leaders, tutors and learners, ensuring the school has an innovative and varied programme and activities for a wide range of learners. You will act as part of the senior management team to help ensure the college is meeting its strategy aims on income, learner numbers and performance targets.

 

This role will include managing programmes to meet the needs of learners with low basic skills and learners with learning difficulties and will involve working cross college to support learners in the main stream provision and ensure English and Maths are embedded into the vocational provision. Applicants will need a detailed understanding of funding models and requirements including ALS and be able to interrogate data to monitor improvement.

 

The successful candidate will have a good honours degree in an appropriate discipline, a full teaching qualification and experience of managing an academic provision and teams. Excellent time management and ICT skills are a must along with the ability to communicate with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders and a passion for facilitating learning. Industry experience would be an advantage.
