How to enrol

How can I enrol?

The way you enrol depends on whether:

o    The course you are interested in requires tutor approval

o    You are aged 16 and under 19 on 31st August 2014

o    You need help with your fees

o    You want to join an ESOL/EFL course

o    You are an employer or business wishing to pay for a course for a member of your staff 

What is a Tutor Approval Course?

If the course you are interested in is marked “Tutor Approval Required? – Yes” on the course outline (or has an (i) next to it in the course guide), you need to attend an interview before you can enrol. To arrange this interview, please view tutor approval courses

What is a Non-Approval Course?

If the course you have selected is marked “Tutor Approval Required? – No” on the course outline (or does not have an (i) next to it in the course guide), you can enrol directly online or in person at either our Parkshot (Richmond) or Clifden (Twickenham) site.

If you are eligible for the concessionary fee or want to pay in instalments, you need to enrol in person as you will need to complete different paperwork/provide information

Are you aged 16-19 on the 31st August 2014?

If you are aged 16-19 on the 31st August 2014, you will need to complete the online Application Form which can be found at the top of your selected course page and the College will contact you to progress your enrolment.

ENGLISH - ESOL/EFL courses

If you would like to join an ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) or EFL (English as a Foreign Language) course, you need to complete a short test to make sure we find the right level of course for you. To arrange an appointment, please contact the college by calling 0208 891 5907, or by emailing info@racc.ac.uk. 

How to enrol for a Non-Approval Courses

I am interested in a ‘non-approval’ course, how do I enrol online?

 

  1. Search for the course you wish to enrol on using the search box on the top right of the screen (type in a key word like “Photography” to see a list in chronological order of courses which have just started or are going to start.
  2. Select the course (which will bring up the course details page).
  3. Click on 'Enrol Now' .
  4. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete your enrolment.

If the line is busy and you want us to contact you by phone, please request a callback. Alternatively send an email to enrol@racc.ac.uk and one of our Admissions team will call you to enrol.

How to enrol for a Tutor Approval Course

I am interested in a 'tutor-approval' course, how do I enrol?

 

  • Select the Course from our online prospectus
  • Click "Apply Now" 
  • Complete the forms
  • Book your interview online
  • The college will keep you updated with the progress of your application

What happens after I have submitted my Application Form?

You will be contacted by a Learning Advisor who will arrange a day and time for you to meet with the relevant subject course leader.

The interview provides as opportunity to discuss your interest and suitability for the course and also enables you to find out more about what the course will involve. You will have the opportunity to ask any questions you may have, allowing you to assess whether it is the right course for you. 

Entry Requirements for Tutor Approval Courses

All tutor approval courses have specific entry requirements, which can be found in the course outline on the website. At interview you will need to demonstrate that you meet the entry requirements and provide evidence of relevant qualifications you have achieved. You may be asked to complete an initial assessment to evidence and indicate your current level; however, you will be advised of this prior to your interview. 

What do I do next?

If your interview has been approved you will be provided with an enrolment form for you to complete and provide to the Admissions team. The office opening hours are provided above. 

What happens after my interview?

Following your interview, if you have been offered a place on a course, you will be given a signed enrolment form from the course leader. You will then need to complete the rest of the form and enrol, in person, at reception. Please click here to see our reception opening hours.

How to enrol if you are an employer

If you are booking and paying for the course yourself

You can enrol directly online or in person at one of our centres at Parkshot or Clifden.

If your employer is paying for you or you are an employer wishing to pay for your staff

Please email training@racc.ac.uk stating:

  1. The course code and title
  2. The names of the learners and the total fee you are paying
  3. The name and contact details for invoicing

We will then contact you to confirm your booking.
